What to do?

It's been a pretty busy week around here! Work has been unusually busy during what is typically a "slow time" for me in between food shows. They are moving a few people around in the office and it is creating more work for others, who aren't too happy about it. Fortunately, I have not been directly involved, but feel like I am busy helping others adjust to their new roles. Tuesday I went to the doctor to have a small chunk of my breast taken out and sent off for testing. I have no idea what this means yet, as it will take 7-10 days to get any results. Thanks alot people...7-10 days is a long time to worry think about something like this! While on my way back to work from the doctor's office, I received some big (but not real surprising) news about K1--which I will blog more about later because that's a whole story in itself!

Tuesday night, K2 asks me if I can take off work the next day. It seems he forgot that he had the big elementary school track meet on Wednesday! All of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders from the 4 elementary schools in the district come together and compete against each other in one big track meet each year. I have gone to watch K1 and K2 so far every year. However, with only a few hours notice, there was no way I could take off work (especially with the week I was having there) for the whole day. He gave me a schedule which showed he was competing in the football throw at 9:45am and the class relay race between 11:45 and 1:00. I decided I could run over on my lunch hour and catch him in the class relay. I had no idea they would end up running 2 hours behind! My lunch hour turned into 3 hours and I happened to be wearing a shirt that scooped down in the back, which provided a lovely spot for a sunburn! His class didn't do so hot in the class relay. However, in the football throw (the event that I missed), K2 got 2nd place out of all 4 schools! He was so proud and I was so sad that I missed it. At least I have one more year to watch him and hopefully he will give me a little more notice next time!

Today is Roo's last soccer game of her first season. It stormed alot last night so the fields will be one big muddy mess. I am soooo looking forward to that fun! K1 was supposed to start the first weekend of the soccer state cup tournament tomorrow in Broken Arrow, but because of all the rain last night, his games will be rescheduled for another weekend. We had planned to drive up there tonight and spend the night so now I am left with a totally free Saturday night. Oh, whatever will I do with myself?!?
